Pharmacy Technician
To work in a pharmacy in South Carolina, you must have an active SC Pharmacy Technician registration or SC State-Certified Pharmacy Technician registration.

Online Electronic Application
This electronic application is only available for first-time applicants.
Effective June 26, 2026, the Board of Pharmacy will transition to a new application system. If you have started an application in the current system, you have until July 26, 2026, to complete and submit your application.
Paper Application
This application should be printed, filled out and mailed to the Board. The paper application may not be used in conjunction with the online electron application.

This form should only be used by Pharmacy Technicians who gained their clinical experience hours through
a Pharmacy Technician Program offered by a ASHP accredited school or PTCB recognized program. This form
should not be used by Pharmacy Technicians gaining clinical experience through their employer.
Lapsed Pharmacy Technician
Registration Application
Pharmacy Technicians who have not renewed their registration within the last year are required to
complete this application.
